AWFixerOS Privacy Policy

This Policy is indicative of our Policy on all of our websites as well as in our greater software. You will find a list of sub processors and their defenitions at the bottom of this page.

The greater view of the company behind AWFixerOS (AWFixer and Friends or AW&F LLC) is that we respect users’ privacy and are committed to collecting only the minimum amount of information necessary. We believe that excessive data collection not only undermines user trust but also increases security risks and operational complexity. By limiting the data we collect, we reduce potential vulnerabilities, simplify compliance with privacy regulations, and focus our resources on delivering efficient and secure services. This approach ensures that our users’ interests remain at the forefront of our operations and that their privacy is protected to the greatest extent possible.

Defenitions:

AWFixerOS, AWFixer and Friends, AW&F LLC as “the company” “company” and “provider” respectively

you, our clients, as the “user” or “end user” respectively

Section One: Information We Collect

we collect certian information pertianing to the operation of our services, such as the temporary retaination of IP Addresses that are used to access our servers in order to prevent spam and abuse, and the names and emails that you provide when you sign up for things like newslessers, our forum, and our chat platform. This information is not kept for longer than you are using the service and is never logged for reason of sale, marketing or advertising, and is not used to contact you in any way that you did not agree to when providing the information to us.

Section Two: Our DNS and On Network Policy

we provide certian services, in this section we will detail the DNS and On Network Policy of our services. This means things like when we host your dotfiles, when we host your packages in Regi, and when we are the proxy between you and another DNS provider (a freight forwarder for DNS you could say)

We do not send any files that you upload to use to a 3rd party to be scanned or looked at in any way, though when you choose to store files and send data through our servers they are all automatically scanned using preconfigured yara rules and a private clamav instance. Flagged files will be quarintined and the actor who pushed them will be blocked from using our services. This is to prevent abuse and legal recourse for storing malicious fils.

if one of your files is flagged it is sent to a que to be manually reviewed by one of our human engineers. You will be notified, your PAT will be rejected with a 5260 Rejection Code saying your account is blocked pending review. You can open a ticket about this in our Discord Server
